Love is in the air, and Valentine’s Day 2023 is right around the corner! This is one of my favorite times of the year, it’s always a good time to show the special people in your life you love them and appreciate all the things they do for you.
Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day with your partner or Galentine’s Day with your closest friends, this date is worth celebrating with lots of food and gifts for your loved ones. This time I went to Plum Market to see what I could find to plan the perfect date at home.
The Best Valentine’s Day Food and Drinks for your Celebration
At Plum Market, I found the best organic and local food. Their selection is super fresh and offers a wide range of fruits, vegetables, and non-GMO foods. We have been trying to take extra care of our health at home, so this was the best time to go natural.
Although we are trying to eat healthier, it doesn’t mean we don’t want to indulge in such a special occasion as Valentine’s Day. The best Valentine’s Day food indeed includes the classic chocolate-covered strawberries, but you can also create infinite variations of the cheese platter and grazing table.
For my grazing table, I always go with manchego, brie, and goat cheese for a healthier touch. I add my favorite prosciutto, Spanish chorizo, and Jamon Iberico for the meats and two varieties of crackers: saltines and multigrain crackers. It’s always good to have different options if your partner or friends have different tastes.
You can’t forget a good dose of fresh fruit. The best ones to pair with your favorite cheese and meats are grapes, apples, and kiwi. Berries are also a great option. These help balance out the flavors perfectly. Also, don’t forget olives, your preferred jam, and antipasto.
With all these ingredients, you will have a perfect grazing table for your guest(s). Since this is a special occasion for you and your love, or even if you’re celebrating with friends, I recommend pairing your food with one of the best champagnes, Moet & Chandon. This time I picked up my favorite: their Champagne Rose Imperial.
