Today I will show you how you can host an amazing Kentucky Derby party in no time, preparing a delicious menu paired with La Crema wines, and some fun activities including Derby Bingo and hat making with Flea Style.
The party is going to be a guaranteed success, my friends and I had so much fun, and we are definitely repeating this occasion. The Kentucky Derby 2022 season is starting, and we are so looking forward to the event on May 7th. Tune in and prepare to be the best hostess of the year.
What Will You Need for the Kentucky Derby Party?
First things first, we need to make sure we curate the best southern-style menu for our guests, including one of the best wine brands: La Crema wines. On this occasion, I chose to include deviled Eggs and a Dark Chocolate Budino with Blueberries and Basil. The perfect combination of sweet and salty.
Deviled Eggs are a super easy dish. You just need to cook, peel, arrange the eggs, and top with the dressing. The dressing is horseradish, mustard, vinegar, and rice oil vinaigrette. You can then add green onions, chives, basil, and celery leaves on top, depending on your taste. These are the perfect companion to La Crema wines Monterey Chardonnay.
When it’s time for something sweet, you can delight your guests with a delicious Dark Chocolate Budino with Blueberries and Basil. This is the perfect oven-free dessert, and it is worth forgetting about the calories for a second (I mean it). It is made with rice brown flour, dark chocolate, extra-virgin olive oil, and garnished with basil microgreens and blueberries. The best pairing for this is La Crema wines Brut Rose Sparkling. I have to say this was my total favorite of the day.

Apart from the appetizers, we need to work on the entertainment for the day as well. My friends and I enjoyed playing Derby Bingo, this is a great option to play in between races. The 148th Kentucky Derby main event is scheduled for 6:57 pm ET, with the races starting at 2:30 pm ET. This gives you plenty of time to play and catch up on your horse race knowledge.
