Hello sweetie! Today I want to tell you that it is not a secret and I don’t want to hide it. I really enjoy everything related to Valentine’s Day… the colors, the flowers, the chocolates and all the beautiful things that the day brings, but did you know that there is another day when you can celebrate the friendship of a woman? It is known as Galentines Day to celebrate with the Gals! all pink.
At the Galentines party I was surrounded by powerful women, roses, sweets, food, and a picnic; the vibe was so sweet I can’t describe how I was feeling… I was full of female energy.
Well, I felt like Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City, just talking, drinking, eating, gossiping with my gals. We felt like empowered women standing side by side. We had beautiful flower crowns (thanks @flowers_sugarcollections) heart balloons, and can you believe it? Pink cups, just a dream.
This year I had the pleasure of being invited to a Galentines Day by @Sugar_collections. There I met women entrepreneurs, friends and I have to say that I loved that cute community, we shared our life stories, the food was really delicious, thanks @Trerafood! And the decorations were so wonderful @picnic2love.
What Galentines Party means
Galentines day encourages us to go out and spend some time with our friends that we don’t get to see as often as we’d like. Celebrating female friendship makes me think of raising our pink glasses and celebrating, beauties! This beautiful day, The Galentines day, is celebrated near Valentine’s Day, on February 13.
Maybe you are wondering… Can guys celebrate Galentine‘s Day? It is usually a women-only holiday (hence the name). But if you have special guys you really want to invite, go ahead… as long as they’re okay with all things girly and sharing the celebration.That’s the best part of this holiday. We did it on Galentines Day. You can buy wine, maybe sounds romantic but we, the women, enjoy a talk with a tasty wine or another drink.
In a Galentines day decor, I like to start off with finding the perfect wall decor to set the tone of the theme. Target and Amazon are by far my favorite stores to look for these pieces. The pink and red balloons are the perfect focal point for the whole theme and color scheme. The red heart streamers behind the balloon add some dimension to the backdrop.
Filling the atmosphere with love & friendship (Galentines meaning) is not very complicated, hanging heart-shaped balloons on the table can add a fun element to the celebration. You can create a focal point by creating a vase with pink and red roses.
